In the view of recent gossips in media on possible disruptions in the transit of the Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine to Slovak, Czech and Hungarian refineries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced that Ukrainian JSC “Ukrtransnafta” and Russian “Transneft” have pursued their cooperation on mutually beneficial and economy based conditions.
There are no unsettled issues or misunderstandings between the companies regarding oil transit through the pipeline “Druzhba” and terminal “Pidvennyi” (Yuznyi).
It should be stressed that there is no reasons for our Western and Eastern partners to be concerned that Ukraine would fail to meet her obligations on oil transit. Ukraine as always will fulfill her obligations regarding the transit of oil through her territory and will remain a reliable and predictable oil transit partner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated yesterday.
Pipelines and oil transit infrastructure are in line with technical norms and are operationally ready to transport oil.
