Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko sent a letter of congratulations to newly appointed member of the European Commission for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle.
Noting his important role in consolidating the efforts of all European institutions to get a new role for the EU on the world stage, P.Poroshenko expressed a hope for further development of constructive and fruitful cooperation between Ukraine and the EU marked by sustainability and integration oriented efforts.
“There is no doubt that Ukraine would show a consolidated effort in reaching ambitious goals of the European integration, in particular with preparation of the Association Agreement, fulfillment of the Ukraine-EU Association Agenda, further progress in visa free dialogue, enhancing sectoral cooperation, first and foremost, on energy”, says the letter of the Head of Ukrainian foreign ministry.
The Minister took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the newly appointed member of the European Commission for his support of the “Ukrainian issue’ discussed on 10 February 2010 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg during debates on post-election situation in Ukraine.
The Minister Poroshenko renewed his invitations to Commissioner Füle to visit Ukraine at his convenience to continue fruitful cooperation.
