During the 1st half of 2020 the EU remained the key trade partner for Ukraine with a share of 40,8% in our foreign trade (40,1% in 2019). According to the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the total volume of bilateral trade in goods and services had decreased by 14,8% and accounted for 22 bln USD.
Exports of goods and services to the EU had decreased by 14,7% and accounted for 10,5 bln USD. Imports of goods and services from the EU had decreased by 14,2% and accounted for 11,5 bln USD.
Ukraine – EU trade in goods
Total trade in goods between Ukraine and the EU had reached 18,8 bln USD during the 1st half of 2020 – this is 14,6% less than during the same period in 2019. Exports of goods to the EU decreased by 17,1% and accounted for 8,5 bln USD. Imports of goods from the EU decreased by 12,5% and accounted for 10,3 bln USD.

Total trade in services between Ukraine and the EU had reached 3,2 bln USD during the 1st half of 2020 – this is 13,2% less than during the same period in 2019. Exports of services to the EU decreased by 4,9% and accounted for 2 bln USD. Imports of services from the EU decreased by 23,9% and accounted for 1,2 bln USD.
