The purpose of a signed communiqué – the development of cooperation in joint projects in the field of energy efficiency, energy conservation, renewable energy and combating climate change.

The document provides, inter alia, opening in Donetsk representative office of R-20, one for Central and Eastern Europe, which will focus on the innovative environmental and energy efficiency projects.

The parties also agreed to provide experts training on those issues.

Moreover, the representation in Donetsk will develop and implement projects in three main areas: comprehensive modernization of energy and heat by turning to equipment which produces energy from biomass, solar energy, as well as switching to LED street lighting.

According A.Shyshatskiy, cooperation  with a venerable global organization founded by former governor of California, is a sing that the leadership of the region launched a comprehensive work to attract real investment in the Donetsk region.

The signing took place in the presence of the President of the European Commission J.M.Barroso.
