During the meeting with European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger, the parties discussed issues of further improving of energy security of Ukraine-EU cooperation in the context of diversification of sources of energy supply and modernization of Ukraine's GTS.

The Minister thanked the Commissioner for a positive decision on the allocation of Euratom loan for improving the safety of Ukrainian NPPs and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation on nuclear safety.

The main focus during the trilateral high-level meeting was paid to the discussion on next steps for the development of the gas market in Ukraine and the EU.

A special focus was given to negotiating the arrangements between the companies "Ukrtransgas" and "Eustream" to implement the reverse supply from the EU to Ukraine through Slovakia.

The parties agreed to hold a the first meeting of the Advisory Committee of the energy market of Ukraine and the EU, the date of which will be determined by the end of July this year
