On 21 October 2013 in Luxembourg the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with the Vice-Chancellor – Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Michael Spindelegger
They discussed the state of preparation to the signing of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius on 28-29 November 2013. In this context Michael Spindelegger noted significant progress of the Ukrainian side in implementation of the criteria on the way towards the signing of the Agreement.
The ministers also discussed the organizational and substantial aspects of preparation of the visit of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to the Republic of Austria.
The Austrian Minister expressed interest in strengthening bilateral investment cooperation and reiterated the interest of Austrian small and medium enterprises to invest into Ukrainian economy.
Also they exchanged the views on perspectives of visa liberalization between Ukraine and the EU in the context of implementation of the Action Plan for liberalization by the EU of visa regime for Ukraine.
The ministers paid special attention to the Ukrainian Chairmanship in the OSCE, in particular to the preparation of the OSCE Ministerial meeting on 5-6 December 2013 in Kyiv. Michael Spindelegger welcomed active and constructive position of Ukraine on all the issues of the OSCE agenda.
