On Thursday, March 6, Ukrainian Prime Minister A. Yatseniuk met in Brussels with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
Following the meeting A. Yatseniuk told reporters that the ways to overcome the crisis "which applies not only to Ukraine and Russia, but also the entire Europe" were the main topic of discussion.
According to him, a lot of options are on the table: “We stick to the political option and it depends on Russia whether Russia is ready to fix this conflict, whether Russia is ready to have a real debate over the ways how to stabilize the situation or Russia will try to increase the tension”.
The PM has stressed that Russia resumes the blockade of Ukrainian naval forces: "We urge the Russian President and the Russian government immediately to withdraw its armed forces and to stick to international agreements that were signed between Ukraine and Russia."
"We need immediately, I stress - immediately - to find a solution," A. Yatseniuk emphasized and underlined that Ukraine is ready to find a solution at the negotiating table with the U.S., EU and Russia.
"We call on Russia to answer whether they are ready to maintain peace and stability in Europe or Russia will continue to provoke and create tension in our bilateral and multilateral relations," said the Prime Minister.
