President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

Petro Poroshenko has informed Donald Tusk on the developments in the East of Ukraine after the terrorist attack on Mariupol. He has expressed gratitude to the President of the European Council for his statement on clear support of Ukraine and his call for the more severe position of the EU towards the aggressor.

The parties have coordinated their positions on the eve of the session of the EU Council at the level of Foreign Ministers planned for January 29.

The Ukrainian President has informed on the progress achieved in the implementation of the second phase of the Plan of Actions on Visa Liberalization. He has also called on the EU to establish visa-free regime with Ukraine at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga scheduled for May.

Petro Poroshenko has urged the EU to increase the volume of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine and discussed the issue of Donor conference planned for April 2015.
