President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.

Petro Poroshenko and Federica Mogherini have discussed the international efforts aimed at the peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donbas. Particularly, they hope that the ceasefire will be achieved shortly and there will be a progress in the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements following the meeting in the Normandy format that is to be held on February 11 in Minsk.

Also, the parties have coordinated positions on the eve of the EU Council's session on foreign affairs that will be held on Monday, February 9, in Brussels.
