"We welcome the EU's commitment to increase the scope of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine with an accent on its targeting and with due regard to the urgent needs of the affected population," said Representative of Ukraine to the EU Kostiantyn Yelisieiev.
Brussels appealed to the Government of Ukraine to urgently provide the list of humanitarian needs, especially those related to the winter period (including heat generators, heaters, etc.) for internally displaced persons, and indicate the cities and areas to which the assistance from the EU must be promptly delivered.
As of today, the European Commission and EU Member States have provided humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 73 million euros. In addition, the special mission of EC experts is already working in Ukraine within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
