A tripartite meeting between the European Union, Ukraine and the Russian Federation in Brussels evaluated the implementation of the Winter Package on Russian gas supplies to Ukraine. Naftogaz presented evidence of breach of the Winter Package by the Russian side. The situation regarding gas supplies to the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine was also discussed. The parties agreed that only volumes supplied through gas collection points agreed with Ukraine’s transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz will be considered.

The European Commission delegation was headed by Vice-President on Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič. The Ukrainian side was represented by Minister of Energy Volodymyr Demchyshyn and Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev. The Russian Federation was represented by Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
