In connection with the adoption on March 17, 2015 the decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Approval of appeal on behalf of Ukraine to the Security Council of the United Nations and the Council of the European Union concerning the deployment on the territory of Ukraine international peacekeeping and security operation"

Mission of Ukraine EU officially transmitted to the leadership of the EU institution the regarded appeal to the Council of the European Union with the call to properly address this issue and to start consultations on launching the operation within the framework of EU Common Security and Defence Policy.

"EU-led operation will help to restore peace and stability in eastern Ukraine by creating appropriate political and security conditions for the successful implementation of the Minsk agreements and will as well support of the SMM OSCE activities", - said the Representative of Ukraine to the EU K.Yelisieiev.
