On March 24, 2015 as part of his visit to the EU institutions Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavičius met with Vice-President of the European Commission, EU Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis.

Within the framework of the meeting, the particular emphasis was made on the implementation by Ukraine of the reforms agreed in the framework of EU macro-financial assistance (MFA). In this context, Minister of Economic Development and Trade informed the Vice-President of the European Commission on the efforts of the Ministry in the fight against corruption, deregulation of the business environment, reforming of the system of encouraging the entrepreneurship.

In turn, Valdis Dombrovskis outlined the prerequisites and prospects for expanding EU funding for Ukraine as part of MFA package in the near future.

The Minister invited Vice President of the European Commission to visit Ukraine.
