The parties discussed the whole complex of Ukraine-EU relations with a special focus on providing further EU support to the peace process in the Donbas. In this context, one of the leaders of European diplomacy emphasized the crucial importance of preserving unity between EU Member States and confirmed the willingness of the EU to continue the appropriate pressure on Russia to fully perform its obligations under the Minsk agreements.

The Representative of Ukraine to the EU drew attention to the need for deployment the peacekeeping and security operation on the territory of Ukraine, in which the leading role could be played by the European Union and proposed to consider sending the relevant EU Assessment Mission.

Kostiantyn Yelisieiev informed Alain le Roy about the process of internal reforms in Ukraine and the results of the first meeting of the Constitutional Commission. Special attention was devoted to the preparation of the next Ukraine – EU summit to be held on April 27 in Kyiv.
