The Ukrainian delegation led by General of the Army Viktor Muzhenko, Chief of General Staff, took part in a meeting of the European Union Military Committee at the level of Chiefs of General Staff. Chief of General Staff spoke about the situation in the east of Ukraine, changes within the Ukrainian army, as well as experience of combat operations in the context of hybrid war. General of the Army Viktor Muzhenko remarked that implemented sanctions against Russian Federation are the main constraining factors for political crisis solving. Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff held a range of bilateral talks with Chairmen of the NATO and EU Military Committees. The parties discussed security situation in the east of Ukraine, possible scenarios of its development, implementation of the Minsk agreements and arrangements achieved during the Paris EU leaders Summit (02.10.2015) regarding observance of the ceasefire and withdrawal of weapons. The counterparts discussed current military cooperation between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and European Union, NATO and European armed forces.
