On January 26, the delegation of the Ukrainian Dairy Association “Ukrmolprom” took part in the session of the management body (Product Committee) of the European Association of Dairy Trade EUCOLAIT. The delegation included CEOs of the leading Ukrainian dairy companies “Lactalis” and “Ukrainian Milk Alliance”, as well as a representative of the European Business Association in Ukraine.

Since January 1, 2016, “Ukrmolprom” is the first Ukrainian sectoral business union represented as an associate member of a European sectoral business association. The preparatory work for “Ukrmolprom” accession has been completed by the trade and economy section of the Mission of Ukraine to the EU.

Accession of “Ukrmolprom” to EUCOLAIT was made possible thanks to the launch if implementation of the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) from January 1, 2016, as well as adoption by the end of 2015 of the decision by the European Commission to authorize exports of Ukrainian dairy products to the EU market.
