On 3 February 2016 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission about participation of Ukraine in the EU “Creative Europe” Programme.

 According to the Agreement Ukraine will participate in programmes of cultural cooperation with the EU in such fields as organization of study visits, cultural fairs and festivals, events for the extension of target audience.

The amount of financing for one project within a framework of a Programme for which Ukraine can bid for is varying from 100 000 to 2 mil. euros.

The Ukraine-EU Cooperation under the Agreement will continue till 2020. The total budget of “Creative Europe” Programme amounts to 1,5 billion euros.
