In the framework of the Munich Security Conference, President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
The Head of State informed on the situation in Donbas. The parties expressed concern over the increasing number of shelling and non-admission of the OSCE to the objects located in the occupied territory.
Federica Mogherini noted the necessity of prolongation of sanctions against Russia until complete implementation of the Minsk agreements.
The parties also discussed the situation in the occupied Crimea. The President urged the EU to actively protect the rights of Crimean Tatars. The violation of their rights resembles Stalin's period.
The President of Ukraine and the High Representative of the European Union discussed the provision of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians.
