25 May, Vice-Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze met with EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
Key attention was paid to the prospects of visa regime liberalization between Ukraine and the EU, the implementation of the Association Agreement and DCFTA, as well as carrying out key reforms in Ukraine, in particular civil service reform.
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze informed about the principal priorities of the new Government of Ukraine in fulfilment of reforms for the coming period. There was noted the importance of the advisory assistance provided to Ukraine by the European partners in the development and realization of reforms in different sectors.
EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn welcomed Ukraine’s achievements in the implementation of core reforms, urging to continue active work and confirming the EU's readiness to prolong assistance to our country on this path.
The Vice Prime Minister also informed on the process of implementation of the Minsk agreements, noting the situation in the East of Ukraine remained tense and volatile. In turn, the Commissioner confirmed the EU commitment to promote the restoring of peace and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
