Оn the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine ,Ukrainians in Belgium together with the Ukrainian diplomats and the Mass Media held a parade of vyshyvankas, which finished with the liturgy in the Notre-Dame de Lourdes church. This year the action participants marched around 5 km in the streets of the Belgian capital. The parade became the longest-lasting in the history of the city. People sang the national anthem in the Brussels central square.
