November 26, 2017 the Ukrainian community together with the diplomatic corps accredited in Belgium took part in a commemorative ceremony devoted to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine in St. Michael and Gudula cathedral (Brussels).

The event was held by the parish of St. Volodymyr  (Ukrainian Greek Catholic church)in the prayerful presence of the hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox churches.

During the memorial service there was a choral performance of a unique Dutch chorus named after Mykola Lysenko (40 participants of the chorus  singing in Ukrainian, ethnic Dutch).
