On 13-14 May 2019, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay a working visit to Brussels to take part in a series of events dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership initiative.
On May 13, Pavlo Klimkin will participate at the Eastern Partnership Foreign Affairs Ministerial Meeting with the 28 EU Member States and 6 Eastern Partnership partners chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
The events on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership will include a High-level Conference with the participation of Heads of State and Government of the Eastern Partnership countries, a dinner on behalf of President of the European Council Donald Tusk for the Eastern Partnership leaders, as well as a meeting of the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank upon the invitation of EU Commissioner for European neighborhood policy and enlargement negotiations Johannes Hahn.
The parties will take stock of the progress made under the Eastern Partnership initiative over the 10 years, discuss the current challenges and outline further priorities for the development the Eastern Partnership initiative after 2020.
