On 22 May 2012 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg an exhibition of paintings by Ukrainian realist and impressionist Grygoriy Shyshko "Modernist Impressionist Ukraine" was inaugurated.
The exhibition was supported by Mission of Ukraine to the EU, organized by the group of European reformists and conservatives, Ukraine-EU Business Council, and sponsored by SCM.
At the opening ceremony Reprsentative of Ukraine to the EU, Ambassador Kostiantyn Yelisieiev noted that a lot is being said about "perceptions" as a factor that determine further development of Ukraine and the EU relations. Therefore, he expressed a hope that Shyshko's works would promote better understanding of Ukraine and contribute to visitors' new bright perceptions of the country and its talented people.
On this occasion he also called on the audience to visit EURO 2012 matches in Ukraine in near future.
The ceremony was attended by MEPs, representatives of the European institutions and diplomatic corps.
The canvases exhibited are from London "Danusha Fine Arts" gallery.
