On 23 March 2012 the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostiantyn Gryshchenko started his visit to Brussels to participate in the Brussels Forum.
On the margins of the Forum Minister Gryshchenko met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski and discussed with him prospects of conclusion of the Ukraine-EU Association Agremeent, as well as ways of enhancing cooperation within further support by Poland of the European aspirations of Ukraine.
A special focus was made on strenthenging cooperation between the MFAs of Poland and Ukraine towards preparation of the finals of the European football championship hosted together by Poland and Ukraine.
The Polish positively assessed the visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to Warswaw that took place on 22 March 2012.
The counterparts also exchanged views on energy security in the region.
On the same day Kostiantyn Gryshchenko met with NATO Secretary General A.Rasmussen. The interlocutors focused on the preparations of the NATO Summit in Chicago on 20-21 May 2012 and on events dedicated to the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Charter on special partnership between Ukraine and the NATO.
K.Gryshchenko and A.Rasmussen noted the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and the NATO on security during EURO 2012 football championship.
NATO Secretary Generaly positively assessed Ukraine's readiness to join in 2013 the NATO-led antipiracy operation.
