XIV meeting of the Ukraine-EU Cooperation Committee, Brussels

Ukraine-EU Cooperation Committee is a regular dialogue format as established by the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. The Committee elaborates on practical issues relative to the priorities defined by the Cooperation Council. The Committee meets once a year.  

The Ukrainian delegation was chaired by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine - chief of staff Andriy Olefirov. The EU delegation was led by Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the EEAS Luis Felipe Fernandez de la Pena.

The parties discussed the priorities of the Association Agenda in the context of preparation of the Association Agreement for signature. Significant attention was paid to visas issues, in particular to finalization of the procedures necessary for entry into force of the Agremeent amending Visa facilitation agreement and to further steps in the visa free dialogue.

Promotion of sectoral dialogues in order to deepen economic and sectoral cooperation was also discussed.

The parties had an exchange of views on cooperation in justice, liberty and security, foreign policy, energy, transport, education and customs.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of ministries and governmental bodies at the level of deputy ministers and heads of departments.
