On January 21-24, we are delighted to welcome in Brussels former political prisoners released from the Kremlin captivity - Roman Sushchenko and Edem Bekirov, as well as Angela Sushchenko and Gulnara Bekirova, who so bravely fought for freedom of their husbands.
It is very symbolic that on January 22, on Ukraine’s Unity Day, Roman and Edem briefed our European partners about Ukraine’s fight for independence and territorial integrity against the Russian aggression, as well as about dozens of Ukrainian political prisoners who are still illegally imprisoned in Russia and in the occupied Crimea.
Like 100 years ago, today we fight for the independence and territorial integrity of our state. We strongly believe that with the joint efforts we will bring home all Ukrainian citizens-Kremlin’s political prisoners and will liberate Crimea and Donbas from the Russian occupation. Our strength is in our unity!
