On 3-5 March 2020, Ukrainian week will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels (Kingdom of Belgium).
The aim of the project is to strengthen political support to Ukraine from the European Union and its Member States, promote Ukrainian culture and present Ukraine’s investment and innovation potential.
“This project is very special and important for Ukraine as we represent our country at one of the main EU institutions. With a combination of public diplomacy events and political debates, we aim for the EU representatives and its Member States to learn more about Ukrainian culture and innovations, our ambitious plans in relations with the EU and progress in implementing reforms. It is especially symbolic that by the sixth anniversary of the occupation of Crimea, together with European partners, we will place special emphasis on our solidarity with those who have suffered from the Russian aggression, ” – stated head of the Mission of Ukraine to the EU Mykola Tochytskyi.
The Ukrainian Week in the European Parliament will comprise a series of public diplomacy events: a concert of a famous Ukrainian pianist Dmytro Sukhovienko, presentation of modern Ukrainian high tech innovations and investment potential, opening of the exhibition “50 inventions bestowed by Ukraine to the world” and screening of a film by Nariman Aliev "Homeward".
In addition, a number of political discussions will be dedicated to Ukraine's progress in implementation of pro-European reforms, further consolidation of the international support in countering Russian aggression, achievement of the goals of a climate neutral economy and opportunities for Ukraine to contribute to the European Green Agreement implementation.
