L.Kozhara thanked the MEPs for consistent support of the European aspirations of Ukraine
He expressed a hope that further active involvement of the MEPs will facilitate conclusion of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement in 2013.
A special attention was paid to the European Parliament monitoring mission headed by P.Cox and A.Kwasniewski.
Representatives of the European Parliament reiterated their support for gradual introduction of visa free regime for the citizens of Ukraine. A hope was expressed for ratification by the European Parliament of the enhanced Agreement on facilitated issuance of short-term Schengen visas to the citizens of Ukraine in near future.
Minister Kozhara and the MEPs had an exchange of views on internal political and economic situation in Ukraine, in particular in the context of recommendations by OSCE/ODIHR after the October parliamentary elections, individual criminal cases, renewal of cooperation with the IMF, Ukraine’s priorities as the OSCE Chair.
