Andriy Klyuyev and Štefan Füle at their meeting in Brussels on 24 April reconfirmed readiness to sign the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in November at the "Eastern Partnership" summit in Vilnius as well as the parties discussed Ukraine's progress in fulfilling the corresponding criteria
Andriy Klyuyev and Štefan Füle stressed the importance of achieving the tangible progress in key areas to mid-May in order to create favorable conditions for the adoption of European Commission decisions necessary to prepare the agreement for signature in November.
The Parties welcomed the decision by the European Parliament to grant consent for the entry into force of the revised Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on visa facilitation as another important step towards visa liberalization. Andriy Klyuyev informed the Commissioner about Ukraine's progress in the implementation of the first "legal" phase action plan to liberalize the visa regime and expressed hope for a rapid transition to the second "the Implementation" phase.
In the context of preparations for the "Eastern Partnership" summit in November in Vilnius Andriy Klyuyev confirmed the full support from Ukrainian side to intensive development of "Eastern Partnership" initiative and the interest of the Ukraint to achieve meaningful results of summit.
