The initiative of establishing an informal inter-parliamentary group aimed at promoting European integration of Ukraine on the basis of political association and economic integration with the EU belongs to MEPs B.Liberadzki (S&D, Poland) and P. Zalewski (EPP, Poland) as well as to Members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Kinakh (Party of the Regions) and V.Nalyvaichenko (“UDAR”)  

At their meeting in Brussels on 24 April 2013 the members of Parliaments adopted a Joint Statement.
