Regular meeting of the Subcommittee № 6 "Justice, Freedom and Security" of Cooperation Committee EU – Ukraine took place in Brussels

During the meeting the sides discussed topical aspects of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of justice and home affairs, migration, asylum, border management, the fight against organized crime, corruption, drug trafficking, cooperation with Europol and Eurojust, further reform of the judicial system of Ukraine judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters, as well as human rights
The sides paid special attention to the accomplishment of criteria of the first phase Ukraine-EU Action Plan on visa liberalization and welcomed the completion of the procedures necessary for the entry into force "enhanced" Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on visa facilitation.
Following the meeting the SubCommittee noted the positive dynamics of cooperation in these areas and further supported the coordination of efforts to combat modern threats and challenges - organized crime, terrorism, corruption, human trafficking and other forms of transnational crime.
