During the meeting Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska acquainted the Director General of the European Commission with new functions of the Office of Ombudsman, and also informed of the strategy of fight against all forms of discrimination and mechanisms of cooperation of the Office with institutes of civil society.

Let's remind, working visit of the Commissioner for Human Rights to the European institutes is held within preparation of the Twinning project initiated by the Secretariat of the Commissioner and EU delegation to Ukraine. The purpose of the visit is to carry out the appropriate consultations, an exchange of experience and acquaintance of the European colleagues with innovations and reforms which were carried out in the structure and activity of the Secretariat of the Commissioner, and their results.
