November 4, 2013 During the first day of a two-day visit to Brussels Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Olefirov took part in the meeting of the representatives of Eastern Partnership countries with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle. The sides discussed organizational and substantial issues of the "Eastern Partnership" Summit in Vilnius on 28-29 November 2013
A.Olefirov also held consultations with the Deputy Secretary General for the EEAS Helga Schmid and the German Foreign Office's envoy for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Antje Leendertse. Special attention was given to Ukraine's progress towards meeting the criteria required for signing the Association Agreement. The EU representatives noted consolidated and determined efforts of the Ukrainian side in providing internal reforms and expressed the hope that Ukraine will ensure the timely achievement of tangible progress in the implementation of all assigned tasks.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also met with the Director General of Internal Affairs of the European Commission Stefano Manservisi. The sides discussed Ukraine's progress in implementing the first phase of the Action Plan on visa liberalization with the EU as well as the enhanced bilateral agreement on visa facilitation.
