The Representative of Ukraine to the EU Konstiantyn Yelisieiev transmitted to the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, a formal invitation on behalf of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on the participation of deputies of the European Parliament in monitoring of the early parliamentary elections to the Ukrainian Parliament, to be held on 26 October.

As was reported, during the meeting with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on 30 August  in Brussels, Martin Schulz assured the Ukrainian side of the intention of the European Parliament to send a large delegation to monitor the parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
