“By the new sanctions against Russia the EU has once and again proved its solidarity with Ukraine. The European capitals will never tolerate abuse of the international law committed by Russia.
While trust is destroyed easily, it is very hard to rebuild it. Therefore even if Russia immediately came back into the legal framework, stopped the aggression and recalled that it was supposed to be a guarantor of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, it would have hardly repaired all the damage, violations of the international law and crimes against humanity committed by Moscow during the last six months.
I am convinced that Russia may only expect EU sanctions to be eased once it implements all the basic demands of the international community on stabilization of the situation in the Donbas within the Peace Plan of the President of Ukraine and ends occupation of the Crimea.”
