President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the European Council Donald Tusk have coordinated their actions on de-escalation of the situation in Donbas.

The Head of State has emphasized that Ukraine needed greater coordination of actions between the EU and USA in the issues of peaceful settlement and fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.

The parties have praised the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Summit’s decision to send the EU assessment mission to Donbas, which starts its work today.

Petro Poroshenko and Donald Tusk have discussed the fulfillment of Ukraine’s commitments under the Plan of Actions on the introduction of visa-free regime.

Petro Poroshenko has noted that Ukraine counted on a positive evaluation of its actions on the track of European integration and expected that the prospect of visa-free regime for the Ukrainian citizens would be put forward at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.

The Head of State has called for the provision of clearer European perspectives to the Eastern Partnership countries that had firmly declared their European aspirations.
