The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Ms Olga Stefanishyna, Director of Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Side was also presented by deputy ministers and heads of departments from 13 ministries, representatives of Administration of President of Ukraine and Secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
From the EU Side, the Committee was co-chaired by Mr Thomas Mayr Harting, Managing Director, “Europe and Central Asia”, European External Action Service. Mr Peter Wagner, Head of the Ukrainian Support Group, as well as heads and representatives of departments and units of the EEAS, European Commission and a number of other EU institutions also participated in the Committee meeting.
The two Sides welcomed finalizing of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement ratification process in coming days, as well as liberalization of the EU visa regime with Ukraine.
In the framework of the meeting, participants discussed political and security dialogue, the situation in Ukraine as a result of the Russian aggression, current situation and perspectives of implementation of provisions of the Ukraine-EU Association and its Agenda, in particular, reforms in judicial, law-enforcement systems in Ukraine, fight against corruption, co-operation in spheres of justice, economy, finance, taxes, energy, transport, environment, agriculture, research and innovation, education, training, youth, sports, health, social policy, regional development and decentralization.
