The decision was adopted on 4 December 2012 at SCOFCAH Committee of the European Commission DG SANCO.

The decision will enter into force upon the publication of the amendments to the Regulation 798/2008/ЕС in the EU Official Journal.

Therefore, in a couple of months the Ukrainian producers who have complied with relative EU requests, will be able to start exporting to the EU poultry, eggs and eggs products.

The yesterday voting came in result of long examination of the issue of access to the EU market for Ukrainian poultry products after a number of verification missions to Ukraine whose aim was to asssess the quality of the products and their compliance with EU norms and acquis.

The decision to include Ukraine into the list of countries who are entitled to export to the EU was unanimously adopted at the Committee.
