In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded European Commission Vice-President for Inter-institutional Relations Maroš Šefčovič the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the II degree. 

In accordance with the President's decree, Maroš Šefčovič was awarded for a significant personal contribution to strengthening Ukraine's international authority, development of interstate cooperation and fruitful public activity.

"I know how much you love Ukraine, how much you have done for us. We thank you for your continued support. You have invested a lot of your work, effort and time during the negotiations with the Russian Federation to resolve the security energy situation not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole of Europe," the Ukrainian President said.

Maroš Šefčovič thanked Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the award.

"You have reasons to be proud. I am convinced that they will multiply due to strong cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union," the Vice-President of the European Commission noted.
