EU supports Ukraine's initiative to launch the Crimean platform

The European Union supports Ukraine's initiative to launch the Crimean platform aimed at consolidating international attention to the challenges of Russia’s temporary occupation of Crimea.
It was confirmed at the meeting of First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova and Deputy Secretary General/Political Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Enrique Mora in Brussels.
Within the 2-day visit on October 28-29 Emine Dzhaparova also met with Acting Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the EEAS Luke Devine and Member of the European Parliament Anna Fotyga.
The meetings focused on:

ensuring a strong international coalition for the deoccupation of Crimea, countering the militarization and preventing human rights violations on Russia-occupied peninsula;

discussion of the concept of the Crimean Platform - an international platform aimed to intensify the efforts of the international community to deoccupy the peninsula;
-
EU involvement in Crimea's deoccupation policy and addressing human rights violations on the peninsula;
-
EU political support for Ukraine at the discussions of the consequences of the temporary occupation of Crimea on key international platforms, in particular at the UN and the OSCE;
-
implementation of the agreements reached during the recent Ukraine-EU Summit;
-
EU support for Ukraine’s European aspirations and territorial integrity;
-
joint struggle against the hybrid threats.
