The meeting between the representatives of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule took place in Brussels, March 6, 2013.

Commenting on the meeting, Representative of Ukraine to the EU Kostiantyn Yelisieiev said:

"The EU now had the opportunity once again to see the active position of civil society in Ukraine, and in particular the management of religious organizations, concerning the EU-Ukraine dialogue and support of the European course of development.

Ukrainian representatives of churches and religious organizations of various denominations supported the appeal to the parties to sign the EU-Ukraine association agreement in November 2013 as one that meets the European aspirations of the Ukrainian people and contribute to reinforcing the modern European model of civilization development in Ukraine, and urged the EU not to leave Ukraine alone with today's challenges.
